This spring, the Dutch can actively play at three new locations in a climbing park or net adventure of Funcha!. At Klimrijk Brabant, an extra course has been set up for the little ones and a new net adventure park will open before Easter. This is a play maze at a height of 15 meters in the woods where you can play in a relaxed manner. At Buitengoed de Boomgaard in Bunnik, playing outside will be given a new dimension and a unique playground will also open in the caves in Limburg. The pandemic is experiencing a revival of being outside and playing in nature. Recreation companies anticipate this trend and therefore invest this new form of play, even during the crisis.
Kees-Jan Verwaal, managing director Funcha!: “The pandemic has made people rediscover outside activities. Already in the spring of 2020 you saw that people were tired of being glued to a screen all day. They all went outside. After miles of walking, the need to play is great. With children, but also with adults. And a climbing park and netadventure are excellent for this.”
Funcha! as a construction company in the outdoor sector, was the first with a net adventure and is the market leader in the construction of climbing forests and zip lines. Globally they deliver challenging offline adventures from toddler to adult. The climbing and net parks are installed in a natural environment with minimal damage to nature and – depending on the number of visitors – are profitable for day recreation within a few years.
